a. CCA Presents

i. Students at CCA participate in two productions each year. The first is our annual Christmas program featuring grades K4 to 8. The second is our Spring musical, which includes students in K4 through grade 12. Our students work hard to learn songs and lines to put on great performances for family, friends, and community members.

b. Activities

i. Reading buddies
ii. Swimming lessons (k4-grade 6)
iii. Ice Skating
iv. Chapel worship team
v. Chick hatching program in grades 3 & 4.
vi. Prayer walk (9-12)

c. Special activities

i. Spirit Day for grades 7-12 during the first month of school, with fun activities and a special speaker
ii. Fall Fun Fair for K4 to grade 6 in October, hosted by grades 7-12.
iii. “Flag Day Chapel” every other year
iv. Special Remembrance Day Chapel to honor veterans.
v. Winter Carnival in February
vi. Field trips have included: Stanfields, The Citadel in Halifax, theatre productions, cooking classes at Super Store, art classes at Clay Café, Stokdijk Greenhouses, museums, white water rafting, Discovery Centre, and Tree-go.

d. Sports

i. Track and field with variations for all grades
ii. Ski Trip in January for grades 7-12
iii. Golf Trip in May for grades 7-12
iv. Soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross country for grades 7-12 (dependant on adequate participation and availability of coaches)

e. Community involvement

i. Week-long Food Bank Drive competition
ii. Monthly visits to a local nursing home by Grades 7 & 8

f. Missions

i. Every other year, grade 11 & 12 students embark on a cross-cultural ministry opportunity culminating in a short-term missions trip during March break. Students spend the months leading up to the trip in preparation through fundraising, service, and training. Then for approximately 10 days in March ministering in a foreign country.
