POSITION PROFILE:
It is the purpose of the Math Secondary school teacher to implement and assess curriculum to help students develop various skills and educational requirements to prepare them to enter the job market or pursue further education.
Colchester Christian Academy (CCA) is seeking an innovative and qualified secondary teacher for the 2025-2026 school year who is eager to teach in a Christian environment. Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree from a recognized institution.
- Specialization in Mathematics
- Experience working with children or students in a leadership capacity is an asset.
- Some teaching experience or practicum.
- Proficiency in the operation of computers, word processing applications and additional software like the Google Classroom is an asset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Christian Studies Teaching, Planning & Assessing in the High School. Courses Offered on a Rotating Schedule:
- Math 9 (Algebra 1)
- Math 10
- PreCalculus 11
- PreCalculus 12
The Secondary Teacher Will:
- Prepare, implement and assess lesson plans.
- Teach all students in a respectful, considerate, compassionate manner, reflecting Christ’s love for us daily.
- Work collegially with school staff, school-based administration and other volunteer staff.
- Understand & fundamentally agree with the School’s Mission, Core Values, and Statement of Faith
- Sign a one-year contract.
