Description
Colchester Christian Academy (CCA) is seeking a caring and responsible individual to lead our After-School Care (ASC) program from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM each school day. This program provides a safe and structured environment where students can unwind, engage in creative activities, and enjoy supervised playtime after a full day of learning.
At CCA, we prepare students for a life of purpose and help young people reach their full potential, empowering them to make a difference.
Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:
- High School diploma required.
- Experience working with children in a leadership, educational, or childcare setting is an asset.
- First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) is an asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
The After-School Care Coordinator Will:
- Supervise students in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including creative play, games, and quiet study time.
- Foster a positive, Christ-centered atmosphere where students feel supported.
- Address and communicate any issues or concerns with parents and guardians in a timely manner.
- Maintain school policies and ensure student safety at all times.
- Work collaboratively with school staff and administration.
- The ideal candidate must be flexible and prepared to care for students in various settings. If the gym is available, it can be used; however, if not, the program will take place in a classroom or if the weather permits, you can choose to take them outside.
- Understand and fundamentally agree with CCA’s Mission, Core Values, and Statement of Faith.
- Sign a one-year contract.
