Description
Colchester Christian Academy (CCA) is seeking an educational assistant for the 2024-2025 school year who would love to work in a Christian environment. At Colchester Christian Academy we prepare students for a life of purpose and help young people reach their full potential, so they’re empowered to make a difference.
Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- High School required.
- Experience as an educational assistant or equivalent.
- Experience working with children or students in a leadership capacity is an asset.
The Educational Assistant Will:
- Supervise student(s) in the classroom, schoolyard, in the school and on out of school activities as required.
- Assist the teacher in extending student knowledge by working one-on-one or in small groups to further enrich the teacher's lesson.
- Assist the teacher with marking assignments and papers at the teacher’s request.
- Reinforce the lesson so the students' understanding is clear and their ability to do their work furthered.
- Assist the teacher in any way possible to help student achievement and development.
- Teach all students in a respectful, considerate, compassionate manner, reflecting Christ’s love for us daily.
- Work collegially with school staff, school-based administration and other volunteer staff.
- Preference will be given to those with strong mathematical abilities.
- Understand & fundamentally agree with the School’s Mission, Core Values, and Statement of Faith
